My experience with "You were my crush" by Durjoy Datta and Orvana Ghai

BLURB :
Benoy zips around in a Bently, lives alone in a palatial house and is every girl's dream. To everyone in college he is a stud and a heart breaker. But is he really? What no one else sees is his struggles to come to terms with his mother's untimely death and his very strained relationship with his father.
Then once again his world turns upside down when he sees the gorgeous Shaina. He instantly falls in love but she keeps pushing him away. What is stopping them from having their fairly tale romance? What is Shaina hiding?
Its time Benoy learned his lesson about love and relationships...

NO OF PAGES: 215

MY EXPERIENCE :
You were my crush is the love story of Benoy and Shaina. Though Shaina and Benoy are the leading roles, my favorite character is Diya. Characterisation of Diya and Shaina were in a way of reflecting the reality.

WHY I LIKE DIYA?
Because she acts in a way like every elder sibling who always protects the younger one(at-least for me). That's what I felt while reading.

Benoy is a cool guy often misunderstood as a person for whom relationships are just for fling. This  makes is life little difficult.

WHAT IS THE BEST PART?
Upto me the best part is the friendship between Benoy and Diya. In the crucial part of the story Benoy says that he would marry Diya. I liked that part 😍. Yes they are friends and he didn't said that to trigger the possessiveness of Shaina, to know why he said that to her do read this book.

INCIDENT 1 :             On a fine day, in the morning, mom was preparing channa masala for chappathi. Unfortunately, it was partially burnt. Some channas that settled down were burnt and the dish started to spread its burnt smell.             Dad came from hall, to the kitchen 'What happened pa, what is this smell. Have you burnt the dish?' dad asked. To manage the situation, mom took a single burnt channa from the gravy and showed it dad with her thumb and the forefinger holding the channa and said, 'because of this one channa the whole dish is spoiled' with a sad face.             'Okay okay, you don't get tensed. We can manage with some other side dish' dad said that in a way of consoling my mom from the disaster.   ...

The strong message "Confession is the best punishment" has conveyed that nothing can make a person feel punished except his acceptance over the fault and confessing it. After the arrival of Pihu in Neel's life he turns out to be a good person who had feelings for his family, friends and his daughter. A GIRL TO REMEMBER IS A BOOK TO REMEMBER
