Is she the fish out of water - Episode 4

After staring at the situation for seconds Adhira could find that girl was Sahat's sister and her would be sister-in-law Pooja. She prepared herself to not express her excitement and came out with fake calmness to welcome Sahat.      She admired the way he spoke to her parents. She admired his smile, the way he kept his mobile inside the pocket, the way he lifted his left eyebrow and everything. She could feel the chill that comes, when air touches our skin after steaming for some minutes in her heart. To others vision she looked normal but inside she could realise the changing temperatures. She realised the warmth in her cheeks.      With lots of struggles on hiding her excitement she managed to say, "Hi.. " to him with eye contact for a fraction of second. His warm smile with eye contact expressed his acceptance of her welcome.      The way Sahat met her eyes made her realise how special she is to him. Before Sahat could begin a conversation with Adhira, sh

Adhira: Umm, what will you do when your would be husband call you for a date? Sathya: Without any doubts I would go for a date 😍 and I would make that day a special one. Adhira : But when Sahat asked me to hang out  with him for a movie I just hesitated that. But am sure  that I didn't had any intension to avoid him but I was not excited as like every other girls. What do you think about my feelings for him? If it was any other girl she would have accompanied him for the movie. Sathya : Wait, what? Accompany? Adhira : Yes what's there with that? Sathya : A girl would enjoy her man's company not accompany him. (Those words from Sathya haunted Adhira) Adhira: Look, you got the answer. Now tell me do I love him? Adhira,

Is she the fish out of water? - episode 2

Adhira saw her mom doing some calculations by sitting in a swing that is wrapped with the climbers that gave beauty to the surrounding with its purple and pink fragile flowers. She felt glad on seeing her daughter with the same cheerfulness that she could find whenever she comes back home in the evening after classes. "Mom I have bought you something to share our memories." by saying these words Adhira handed the test papers to mom. Now it was mom's turn to get excited. Yes these little things mattered them the most. Mom started to say those with a bright smile, "You know Adhira you always ask me ',ma please give me five minutes of break time am getting bored' and I too allow you to go for break. You go to our neighbor's house to play and to my astonishment you were always punctual. You will come after five minutes and I would give you a warm cup of milk. After finishing it, I don't need to remind you, you will do your home works without any argum

Everyone in her family was happy with the decision that they decided for her. But she is unsure is she capable of doing a responsible role in a family and importantly she is analysing the thing that can she love a guy with all her soul? and how good can she perform the role of a wife? She loved the rushing people to give her relationship advises, the way her family treated her as the bride, the shopaholic days and everything that were building up her wedding. It was two weeks before her wedding, she packed all her stuffs with the help of her sister. "Hey Dhira do you know how excited I am about your wedding? " said Shruthi with her chin supported with her left hand and mouth chewing their mom's special upputtu. "How many times I have asked you to call me by my full name? have you ever did that. At least in this two weeks don't irritate me am already scared " shouted Adhira. "This is too mean akka. You always allow Sahat to call you by this na

That notorious friend in every gang

This post is completely dedicated to Swarna. Because she is that notorious friend. Incident 1: After completing our college we both go home in my scooter. I will be the driver she will be sitting behind me. One day she said me, "Dharu I have a test for your driving skills", before I could analyse what she said she closed my eyes from behind and I think this would be easy for you to know how crazy she is Incident 2 : It was the last day for us to get our practical records signed. As always I was doing my unfinished work. I was over tense with my work juggling with my stationery essentials. I should submit the record within 30 minutes and there she came. Swarna : Dharu Dharu : mmm (said without looking at her) Swarna : What is this Dharu? 😡 Dharu : I know you have some stupid stuff to share with me. I have no time to look at your face and have a conversation. If I don't finish this work within time I will be sent outside the class. So tell me.

Stereotyping in my perspective

Meaning :     Stereotype - To have a set of idea about what a particular type of person is like, especially an idea that is wrong. What is there to share my opinion?          Before getting in I clarify that all these are my own opinion and opinion varies from person to person based on their perspective. and all these are based on the people I have met in person.          okay now let me enter into the topic, why should I share my perspective? because I feel that often this word "STEREOTYPE" is misunderstood. What is stereotype?                The way a person behaves is based on their own wish and everyone has that right to stand to their wish. Lets consider two girls named as X and Y. X is interested in wearing a saree and she does it because of her own interest Y is not interested in wearing a saree but she is forced to wear a saree. In this situation stereotype comes when Y is forced to wear a saree. But you cannot call X as a stere

The conspiracy

That was a fine day to have some special lunch, but mom didn't allowed us to eat non-veg. She planned to make mushroom gravy as main dish for the lunch. I was waiting near the stove to grab the first spoons of gravy. I took a very little amount of rice and added mushroom gravy. And my ears started to burn out because of that over spiced gravy. Now we both were thinking about how to give this gravy to my brother and my dad. So we planned Mom sat in the middle, myself to the left and dad to the right. She was feeding me with a plate full of that over spiced mushroom gravy without any discomfort and that side dad was struggling with the gravy. He asked whether mom made mistake in the recipe and she asked "how can I make mistake in a recipe which I have been cooking for many years?" And she continued by saying, "look at Dharani she is loving this gravy. Dharani ma do you feel this gravy is over spiced?". And I replied, "nooo it feels like heaven in my mo

My experience with Life is what you make it by Preeti Shenoy

Life is what you make it                                by Preeti Shenoy My Experience :        Life is what you make it is the story of a  girl named Ankita who overcomes her mental illness.        It was hard for me to read the book after the death of a character. But as the story grows everything came in its place.        Ankita's family reflected most of the Indian families where a girl is restricted to be in a relationship. Even though they were strict their love has been expressed with all its ingredients.        Dr. Madushudan is my favourite character as he brings light in her life.        It was more hard to read the suffering parts of Ankita, i just wanted to skip those parts but can't as they expressed the authentic feel of her struggle. Favorite parts :             Climax 😍😍 my favorite part. I just loved to read those pages.                  I don't know whether I can mention this because it's a book with some importa

The evening before every exam

I don't know why but all of a sudden I want to become a story teller. No matter whatever be the size. I just want to write a story. But wait all these thoughts flood over me only the day before my exams. Am having my internals by tomorrow, now am squeezing my brain to write a story. Let me analyse myself, aaa I found out her. Yes, she is Miss. Overthinking who digs out my hidden talent of practicing ridiculous thoughts the evening before exams. She always wants me to discover new things only the day before exams. On other days she will be like, "Hey don't disturb me am chilling out and I don't want you to mess up with me. So just go and sit like a couch potato or do a Guinness record of watching all the YouTube videos in a single day". Yes she is the reason behind my average grades, if she didn't exist within me I would have achieved an university rank. "krm krm, excuse me sorry to interrupt, am the innocent Miss. Overthinking creature inside Dhar

My experience with Satyayoddha Kalki by Kevin Missal

BOOK-2 SATYAYODDHA  KALKI EYE OF BRAHMA First thing that impressed me is the cover of this book. Both the books have a great cover. As like in the book 1 there is a map of Illavarti and a timeline for the events in the book. Then here comes the special thing The picture of Eye of Brahma. (My brother and me we both loved that picture, he wanted to paste that picture in a common place of the house but I didn't allow it I wanted it to be in the book.) This picture triggered the interest to know what is its role in this book. The moment eye of brahma comes into the plot makes you to go back to picture and stare at it for some time. This is what happened when I read the intro part of eye of brahma. The book-1ends with the person who has a scar on his forehead. Who is he? You will be astonished when you come to know who he is.  PARTS:             Part 3 - The coup at INRAGARH             Part 4 - The Dandak rebellion In this book 2 I feel tha

Never value yourself low because of a failure

Life is a bed of roses with thorns. Not everyone is going to lead a life a with null failure and no one is going to live a life without success.                                  Failure is a part of our life, be brave enough to handle those failures. If a person keeps on thinking about failure he/she is not going to succeed in his/her life. Failure is a chance to analyse the mistakes that a person do.                      Most of us never concentrate on our weakness and we want to do the work with perfection. If you cant find what is wrong then how can you rectify that problem?                     So what am trying to say is that never lower your worth because of a failure. Persons whom you admire as successful have undergone through lots of failures.                                  If you want anything work for it, if it doesn't work well then again work on how you can update yourself.             I saw this content from Lavanya Jayakumar's vi
