Stereotyping in my perspective

Meaning :

Stereotype - To have a set of idea about what a particular type of person is like, especially an idea that is wrong.

What is there to share my opinion?

Before getting in I clarify that all these are my own opinion and opinion varies from person to person based on their perspective. and all these are based on the people I have met in person.
okay now let me enter into the topic, why should I share my perspective? because I feel that often this word "STEREOTYPE" is misunderstood.

What is stereotype?

The way a person behaves is based on their own wish and everyone has that right to stand to their wish. Lets consider two girls named as X and Y.

X is interested in wearing a saree and she does it because of her own interest

Y is not interested in wearing a saree but she is forced to wear a saree.

In this situation stereotype comes when Y is forced to wear a saree.

But you cannot call X as a stereotypic person because she often wears a saree.

"I am doing this household work because am a girl", this character is stereotypic because its based on her gender.
"I am doing this household work to make my home clean", this character cant be said as stereotypic.
Stereotypic - "I am a guy and I should cook otherwise people call me stereotypic"
Non-Stereotypic - "I am a guy and I love to cook"

Stereotype can't be applied only to the old beliefs.
This thing happened in my class. That was during our department day celebration, so all of us planned to dress in uniform. Then the discussion started. Some of us said lets wear saree and some of us said that lets wear salwar.

Everyone had their own points for their selection. Among them there was this girl who said like this "Saree lam katna pattikaadu mari irukum adhunalatha solrom saree venda" (If we wear saree then we would look like countryside people). Avoiding saree for this reason is stereotype, being a modern person or an intellect is totally dependent over their thoughts. A costume never makes a person illiterate. And this is the reason why am saying that this term is often misunderstood.

Conclusion :
Most of the people think that if a person follows old things then they are stereotypic and they force them self to make them look modern. Do what makes you feel happy. If you love to wear a crop top then wear it its totally your wish but if you force yourself to wear crop top to look modern then it comes under stereotype.

In short
Stereotype always comes with a condition
Anything that is forced to do to look like something comes under stereotype

Don't do anything just because everyone is following it.

I hope that I tried my best with wordings to not make it complicated to analyze the thoughts, if you find it complicated don't hesitated to comment your difficulties in reading this post.

cute little things

Hey all, it had been a long time since I posted the last blog post.    I will try to post at-least 3 a week. Now lets get in to today's post. INCIDENT 1 :             On a fine day, in the morning, mom was preparing channa masala for chappathi. Unfortunately, it was partially burnt. Some channas that settled down were burnt and the dish started to spread its burnt smell.             Dad came from hall, to the kitchen 'What happened pa, what is this smell. Have you burnt the dish?' dad asked. To manage the situation, mom took a single burnt channa from the gravy and showed it dad with her thumb and the forefinger holding the channa and said, 'because of this one channa the whole dish is spoiled' with a sad face.             'Okay okay, you don't get tensed. We can manage with some other side dish' dad said that in a way of consoling my mom from the disaster.   ...
